Girls Touch Football at Ourimbah

Cromer Campus upholds a strong sporting tradition and offers a wide range of sporting activities with up to date readily accessible sporting facilities.

The Facilities

The school has a one basketball court gymnasium.

It is fully equipped with multi purpose markings and fixtures and state of the art gymnastics equipment.
We also have three outdoor multi purpose courts and a large football oval for outdoor games.

Cromer Campus is located close to Dee Why and Curl Curl Beach and we use the local beach and pool facilities for lifesaving, and swim training. The school is also close to a wide range of park facilities including Cromer Park, St Matthews Farm and James Morgan Reserve, each ground comprising multi purpose playing fields.

A multi purpose tennis, squash and beach volleyball facility is within a five minute walk from the school.

Sports and Activities

Sports include soccer, football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, cricket, netball, hockey, bowls, ten pin bowling, rock climbing, softball, touch football, futsal and many more. We hold carnivals for athletics, swimming and cross country and frequently have students perform well at zone, regional and state level.

Our elective Physical Activity and Sports Study Program, which is highly popular, also provides extra opportunities for students to try outdoor activities as well as participate in the aforementioned sports.

HSC and Sport, Lifestyle and Recreation

Cromer Campus provides opportunities for students to participate in Sport, Lifestyle and Recreation courses as well as 2 Unit PDHPE. PDHPE results have proven to be exemplary as a result of committed students and a dedicated team of professional staff.

Sport and physical activity is a valued and accepted part of our school's curriculum, contributing to the development of the whole child. It provides a vehicle for social, physical, emotional and moral learning and is an important expression of our culture.

The participation, enjoyment and skill development of our students is the corner-stone of the school sport/ physical activity program. All our students take part in this program.

There are also opportunities to represent our school at inter-school sports competitions. As a NSW public school we benefit from the opportunities for shared activities and competitions with other schools, coordinated by school sport associations. See the School Sport Unit website for details.
